The Jack's? Or the Van Orman's

I know many of you are probably wondering if we got rid of John and Elise and have turned into a Jack-Only family because of the pictures but i want to confirm that.....we haven't. John and i do still exsist and John is as busy as ever. I think i'm more excited than anyone that this semester is almost over, John's got all his end-of-semester stuff due soon and he's stressed. He's also been Job Hunting and that has finally started to seem worthwhile. Me? I've just been takin care of my little boy, feeding, changing, holding...ya know. That kind of thing. Also i've been reading the Children of the Promise series and i actually have really enjoyed learning more about WWII. There are some things i never remember learning about and that is one of them. Other than that i go walking all the time and hang out with my friend Melissa...good times.

The holidays are coming up and because we're in job transitions i'm not sure we'll be able to go home to our families for them, we might get to have our own little christmas just the three of us :) I'm actually sort of excited about that, Jack's first Christmas....i wonder if he's been a good enough boy to have santa come... but maybe we'll still be able to make it to our famillies. Who knows.

John takes such good care of us and i'm so grateful for him. I always wanted to be able to stay home and take care of my kids and right now John's finding a way to make that possible, i'm so happy. I can't imagine leaving Jack for more than a little bit at a time.

Life is good. i do feel so blessed all the time to have such wonderful people to call my family.

Time out... i just almost burnt my house down. whew. Now that that is under control and your up to date on th e rest of us, wouldn't you just like to see the latest picture of Jack? You would? Oh good, here he is :)

Jack has found his tongue, its hilarious, he sticks it out, and he plays with it. Its very entertaining....

Lately

We Love Jack! We love being outside! And we LOVE our new stroller (Jack does too) John's got a class, biodiversities of UT and for it they go on mini field trips to all sorts of places, and then John takes Jack and I later. Its been fun, and beautitul. Today its been snowing ALL DAY, so we'll just have to remember what it was like to be able to hike around outside....until the spring. Oh well, i wanted to post our latest pictures but then somehow i ended up deleting most of our recent photo's without saving them, bummer. So here's what was left. Life is good.
This is the cute beanie that my neighbor/walking partner/friend made for little Jack, its a little big for him and will fit him for a while but its funny because after our walks his hat has always made it down around his eyes so that all you can see is his mouth and part of his nose. LOL i wish i had a picture :)

White, its refreshing....

There's something about white that really makes me feel.....calm.... i don't know, but here's the new look til i get sick of it. And here's few pic's of our cute little boy that Aunt Kristen took (Buck, not Olsen)

Jack is so much fun! He's starting to smile A-LOT at us, we love his smile, we tried to get his smile on video.... we didn't but we still thought it was cute, sorry if the rocking makes you sick!

Life is good

Wow i love my life. Today's been great. John's a great dad, and husband. I couldn't be happier. Here's a few pictures of our little family lately....

Sacagawea

John got upset with me because i didn't post the "Sacagawea Picture," as he calls it, so here it is. This is when we were heading on our hike, and this is why John thinks i'm the best wife in the world ;)

Fall Fun

We went up the BEAUTIFUL wellsvilles....And went on a little hike....We hiked to a beautiful lake (AKA: A puddle)

And saw a bear (not pictured)---but not to worry, we had John's trusty bow and his mighty fine aim....

And we made it home just fine...AND saw some AMAZING sites

We really enjoy taking Jack with us on our adventures, he seems to like them too :)

This is a separate adventure-up Logan CanyonJohn's purpose was to shoot a pine hen with his long bow. Mine was to find enough pine cones to make an awesome wreath. My mission was accomplished......... John's was not.

Mom, Debbie, Simeon, Dane and friend Michael came to visit this weekend. Somehow this is one of the only pictures i have to prove it. I'm pretty sure somebody was taking pictures the whole time, i just guess it wasn't me....

But i did snag a picture of my mom's wreath we made with the pinecones, it was beautiful. Mine is still a work in progress since we ran out of glue sticks....and pinecones.... good thing we know where to find some more :)
All in all we've been having a wonderful fall, i LOVE fall!

Look at my big boy! I can't believe how grown up he looks! amazing... Thanks Carter-fords for the bumbo! And thanks Mason's for the cute outfit!

life goes on...

So i've started running again, not a whole lot but what i do sure feels nice. Anyway, lately John and Jack have come with me to the river walk, i run it while they walk it. This was just after we got Jack all bundled up and ready to go, i think its SO cute!

Jack and I also went and visited Dad at work the other day, ate with him. This is John and Jack enjoying the ribs :)
